Daily Notes 06-12-06
Oh dear — have not written in several days! I am bad…
Had the Asheville dog shows this weekend. Boy was it HOT!! Ken could not go as he had to work, so I found a couple of people to take his dogs in otherwise the majors would have broken in both sexes — it still broke in dogs, but that’s the breaks I guess.
Stephanie took in Oscar and did a great job with him. She got Reserve Winners Dog with him and I thought for a moment she might end up getting Winners, but Connie Alexander’s dog handled by Donna Bost took those honors. Dana took in Maggie. Maggie looked, great, but got 2nd both days.
I got 2nd both days with Ashely and 4th Saturday and 3rd Sunday with Butterfly who, I’m told was gorgeous.
Got to see lots of friends –Janet, Kitty, Calvin, Yvonne — it was nice!
Ken left this morning (at 3:30 am!!) for BMW where he will then go on to Daytona Beach, FL. He was kind of excited about the trip — guess this will seem like a vacation despite the fact that it’s work. They are taking some cars down there to test on the track where the Daytona 500 is run. One more thing to add to his store of “things I can tell my grandchildren” 🙂
Tweaked on the website some. Not content, but just looks. I need to get on those individual dog pages! Those are the only thing left to do to complete the site. Don’t know why I am dragging my feet on them.
Have a wonderful day today!
Love to all,
Margaret

Looks like Ken may get some bad weather while he is in Daytona — been there, done that, don’t plan to ever do it again! We had our one hurricane of the century in Chattaboogie several years and that’s plenty for me. Of course it wasn’t nearly as bad as some we sat through in Florida, but everybody here thought it was.
The website is looking really, really good! I think I have read almost every page so far. Is there a way I can enlarge the little thumbnail pictures you sometimes have scattered in and between the content?
My next dog is going to have to be taller than Gypsy ( Shih Tzu ). I tripped over her a few days ago and think I broke my toe. I was going out the front door late at night to break up a cat fight and she wanted to help. MORAL: Let the cats duke it out!
Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Sis #2 — and no, I don’t think there is a way to enlarge them. Ask Colin about it, but it’s something to do with what WordPress does to compress them. I can send the originals to you if you really want to see what it looks like.
You’ll note that I’ve been doing the pictures differently in later posts as I wasn’t thrilled with the thumbnail unclickable aspect of it either.
Thanks for looking — love ya!
