It’s Wednesday and raining. We need the rain and at least it’s somewhat warmer than it was over the weekend, so isn’t a totally miserable day. Ken is set to work all weekend this weekend and next and has laid out some tasks he wants me to accomplish.  I have a lot of stuff to do that he doesn’t even think about, though, so we’ll have to see how it goes.

I’m developing a web page for a friend of mine who makes the collars that I use on the Whippets. I have a mock up of a home page done for her (lots of work yet to do on it), but wanted to get some input on if you think I might be headed in the right direction. None of the links on the page are working yet, so if you go to it, there’s nowhere else to go. I’ve also hosted it on my webserver, but she’s getting her own hosting and domain name, so it will move once that’s in place. Anyway, if you have a minute, would you take a look and tell me what you think it needs. Suzel’s Collars  — she likes the colors and likes the logo I made. I told her I want to make the circle out of some of her collars (they are tapered, so if folded in half and set with the narrow ends together, should form a circle-like design) which is *supposed* to be somewhat like a color wheel. Interior pages will use the color scheme and logo of course and have fabric swatches and ordering fields for people to order the collars.

Well, I guess I need to get back to the paying job.

Love to all,

Margaret

Morning..Wish it was raining here. We are 10″ down for the year already and need a good soaker real bad! Weather dude says we might get a little today and Sat., but not enough to make any difference.

I like your web design for the collars, it’s shaping up real nicely. My only comment is that the pink writing on the pink background is a little hard on these old eyes, but that’s just personal preference. BTW, if you ever need a good web hoster, Kevin uses 1 and 1 Internet for all of his sites, including the gigantic one he is doing for Carvin Musical Instruments in CA. They promise ( and seem to deliver ) something like 99.8% up-time, 24/7 help, etc., and have a variety of plans. He gets a small ( VERY small ) kick-back for those that drop his name when signing up.

I was sorry to read about Bruno. It’s always hard to lose a pet, even if they have only enriched your life for a short time. I know I am going to have to go down that path with Queenie sometime. She came to live with us in 1990, and was probably a year or so old at that time, so she is really getting some age on her. I don’t know if Shelties are naturally long-lived or she has just had a good run.

Don’t work too hard over the weekend.

    Love,
    Judy

    Hey Margaret!

Just peeking in while studying for finals. I like the site but for me the pink banner at the top overlaps on the placeholders for the links.

Just staying in touch. I am glad you were as proud of Scarlett and Rose as I am for their performance at the lure trial. 🙂
