Located near the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in South Carolina, we strive to breed quality, not quantity, multi-purpose whippets. Combining type, beauty and brains, The Whippets of Kemar make wonderful companion animals. Their size makes them perfect for nearly any home-style and their short coats, natural cleanliness and people-friendly attitudes make an ideal pet. Puppies are available occasionally, as are young, well socialized adults. Prices are reasonable, the dogs are WONDERFUL! Click on any picture to see it larger.
| Active members of the Greenville Kennel Club, the Blue Ridge Afghan Hound Club and Carolina Lure Coursing Society, we stay as up to date as possible on what is "happening" in the dog world. New puppy owners are provided with everything necessary to take home a healthy, active new family member including collar, leash, a 2 day supply of food, pedigree, registration papers and health records. Requirements for new owners are: references; including the veterinarian the dog will be taken to, fenced in yard, a signed contract and knowledge of the breed. Our dogs are our "children" and we like to stay in touch with them. Questions, pictures, letters, e-mail are all welcome and answered in a timely manner. | |

We also do rescue work with all sighthound breeds and have successfully found homes for more than 30 dogs over the last 5 years. E-mail us for a list of the dogs we currently have available.
