Let's face it, disasters happen. Katrina taught all of us a bitter lesson about protecting our beloved pets from the ravages of Mother Nature.

I hope this page on preparing for disaster helps YOU get prepared in the event of a natural disaster.

Losing your dog has to be one of the most devastating things that could happen. Poor Vivi of Westminister fame is a prime example. With the help of others, the page on finding your dog gives you advice on what to do if you've lost your dog. Dogs are curious by nature and are also driven by instincts and needs that we often do not take into consideration or even know about.

Knowing what to do in the event of someone leaving your gate open, the dog slipping out of the house as you answer the door, or if he escapes you while travelling, may mean the difference between losing him forever or finding him within a few hours.

The last link is less serious minded. It's to recipes that I've collected from various places for treats or diets for dog who won't eat and diets for dogs who eat too much.

We hope your dog enjoys them!
